Last Nashville Bucket List
We're headed back to Nashville for three weeks and this is what we'll be doing.
Hello and happy Sunday (and happy Easter)!
We were confused when Easter was so early this year and we JUST learned that Easter always falls on the first Sunday after the first full moon of the Spring Equinox. Did anyone else not know this?!?! It feels extra magical.
We just spent the weekend celebrating Amy’s 50th birthday and it was almost too good of a time lol. We had an amazing chef come to our house on Friday and we had six insanely delicious courses (with lots of wine pairings). Savannah made an apple dulce de leche cake that was heavenly and we’ve been picking at the remains in the fridge for days. We even went “out” on Friday (AKA went to the bar in town) and closed it out. We are all a little wrecked today from the weekend, but it is 1000% worth it.
We head back to Nashville (for the first time since October… omg) next week. We will be there for three weeks while Savannah finishes classes, takes her finals, and we move out of our apartment (that we’ve been in for three years, so that will be a process. We’ve definitely accumulated an inordinate amount of stuff). In the spirit of closing out our Nashville chapter, we thought we would make a bucket list of all the things we want to do before we leave. It is a very specific list that largely revolves around food and coffee… of course.
Eat at Herban Market (multiple times)
Morsel pastries (peanut butter bundt cake, banana chocolate muffin, and maple oatmeal scones are our favorites)
Watch a music show at The Ryman
Dozen Bakery for the egg baguette
Painting pottery in Franklin
Franklin farmers market
Drives around the backroads
Doing the walk we’ve done for the last three years (having Blakely drive me through it lol)
Emmy Squared pizza takeout and Gilmore Girls
Coffee in the morning sun on our balcony
Sitting at our pool for the first and last time?
Dinner with our sorority family
Koko’s ice cream with Bae’s Cashew Butter
BBQ at Axel’s house
Lou for our favorite farm-to-table dinner
Osa coffee
Have a juice outside at Turnip Truck
Sitting outside having an iced matcha at Humphrey Street
BBQ on the roof (with steak from the farmers market)
Walk around Shelby Park in East Nashville
Walk around campus and see all the classrooms where we went to class together
Go thrifting in Columbia
College graduation photoshoot for Savannah
Walk around and look at all the spring blooms and flowers
Go to a Vandy baseball game on a sunny day
Go watch a movie at the theater
Have drinks at Urban Cowboy
Go down to the river in Franklin
Drive down Broadway
Bid college and Nashville farewell
Well, we’ll see how much we accomplish from this ambitious list in the 20 days that we’re there. It feels very crazy and surreal that we are both (Savannah almost) officially done with college and Nashville. It will always be a very special city for both of us, but we’re excited to see where we end up next. We got a lot of inspiration for this list from our college school year in pictures post from last spring, which has some gems ;)
Alright, we’ll see ya in April from Nashville!
Have fun! Am such a HUGE Britt fan! I bet the food was to die for!! 🤤
I will be following this list like a map when I move there! ❤️
